First Indian made Sports Car - DC Avanti next month launch

The DC Avanti is one of the most awaited launches as it is the first made-in-India sports car. However, At 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, the car is already shown but  now the car is all set to get officially launched next month. Thus, the company will deliver the cars on first-come-first-serve basis means who will come first will deliver the car first.

Factually, the company is all set to hand 25 cars to customers this month. but the DC Avanti has already received a total of 762 confirmed bookings till date.

Developed by DC Design, the Avanti measures 4,550mm in length, 1,965mm in width, and 1,200mm in height. With a ground clearance of 170mm, Thus the car is suitable for just perfect for Indian driving conditions. The body of the car sports contain several carbon-fibre components developed by the company's in-house engineers.

The Avanti is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, mounted between the seat back and the rear wheels. The car motor produces a peak power output of 248bhp along with 241Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.

For Safety features it includes Anti-lock braking system (ABS), developed by Continental, will be offered as standard equipment. The car's expected price is between Rs. 25 lakh - 35 lakh.t
