Mahindra revealed about Eco-Friendly Electric Vehicles Concept

As different Car companies have brought a new plans about Eco Friendly Electric Cars .Like wise only mahindra is also thinking about its new Eco friendly Electric car to be launched in India.They think that this plan has potential to occupy about 2 -5% of Indian market in coming few years.As said by Pawan Goenka ,The Executive Director and President (Automotive & Farm Equipment sectors)  "We remain very optimistic that electric vehicles will become a significant portion, about two-five per cent of the Indian automotive industry, in the next four-five years" .

He also said the concept will not boom the indian market soon ,but they just making it to become commercially viable for consumers there has to be a significant government incentives across the world. Goenka also added that till now there is not much measures are taken in India for electric vehicles but as the new government has revealed in its annual budget Rs 75 crore for faster adoption and manufacturing of electric vehicles in 2015-16.

"I am hoping that starting in fiscal year 2016, we will start to see an uptake in the electric vehicles volumes," he said. However,Mahindra is also among the 10 teams competing in the Formula E, the world's first fully-electric racing series.

Goenka was in the city for the US debut of the Formula E Championship that was attended by other senior company executives. He said Mahindra has very high expectations for electric vehicles, including bikes and two-wheelers and participating in the race will be  giving its a tremendous exposure in terms of technology and brand development.

In the current  segment, Mahindra has also invested heavily in its Reva Electric Vehicles as well as in California and Ann Harbour in the US for designing and manufacturing of the product.
 Goenka said the new concept is very new for consumers it takes times for customer to have trust in it in terms of comfort driving . There is a need to develop infrastructure in India for such vehicles including charging stations said Goenka.
